Lol, fun title is fun.

So I talk to this dude on Craisglist that wanted $125 for two kicker cvr 12's (older version) Box, and the Orion Cobalt CO8001 amp.

I jewed him down to $75, I mainly wanted the wire he had. I got almost 20 feet of the Scosche 5+ OFC wire. I'll end up giving the subs+amp to a friend of mine for $50 or something.

The funny thing is the idiot had the gains all the way up, bass boost maxed, and the **** thing was scorching hot to the touch and he says "yeah it gets that way when I play music loud" Oh wow. He had the amp bridged to 800w he says.

I'm not bagging on Kicker products, but it seems like they attract the idiots of car audio.

lulz. 5 bucks says the amp is running at 1ohm bridged.....

If that amp ran at 1 ohm bridged with the gain maxed and wired like that and all it did was run hot??...That is a bad - assed amp, brother!

Haha yeah he had it bridged. It must be pretty solid honestly. It was just hot as hell. I think my buddy will enjoy these subs. He's not the most fortunate guy I know, so I am just going to give him the setup probably.

Here is where the story got even better...

So he proceeds to strike up a conversation while he was pulling the 4 gauge power wire out, and he was in sort a of a rush because he said "my wife has surgery in a half hour and I need to be there." well, I said "Ohh, sorry your wife is having surgery." Him:" Oh nah man it's a good surgery, we can't be having anymore kids." LOL xD
