just got my viper 1200.1 im confused

hello guys i just got the amp a few min ago. im looking to power 2 infinity perfect 10.1s svc subs. this amp was recomended to me by someone on these forums in another thread.

the amp was listed on ebay as a mono 1 channel amp. but it has spots to run 2 speaker wires to it.

i dont get it why would a mono amp have 2 speaker outputs.

this is a mono amp right??

i had planned on wiring the 2 4ohm svc 10s to give me a 2 ohm final load.

help please

ok thank god. right now i only have 1 10 so i would just pick a set to hook it up to?? either ones gonna do the same thing right?

and also when i get the other sub and wire the 2 subs together for the 2 ohm load im still gonna be using just one set of speaker outputs right??

You can use both sets of speaker outputs. The amp internally bridges them(i know that's the wrong term).

The only reason for the two sets is for ease of wiring for multiple subs.

well then the only option you have is to wire them to 2 ohms or 8 ohms----so from that viper you're only gonna get about 7-800 watts at 2ohms.

yea the subs are rated at 350 rms a piece so this amp is perfect for me.plus if i upgrade my subs i can run it at 1 ohm.

btw i just got done hooking it up and i can tell a big difference between this amp and my old amp (mtx 2 channel amp bridged 300wrms)

i cant wait to build my box and get that other sub.
