I also have a 5901 but haven't installed it yet. I got mine brand new but I notice a "rattling" noise inside the control box ("brain unit") when I shake it lightly. Can anyone tell me if this is normal or if they hear the same rattle in their 5901?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif My buddy got a 5701 recently and I did not hear anything loose sounding in his at all, but it's also the older system. I need to know if it's ok to install or if I should return it for another one. Thanks for the reply!

open up the cover, their is a fuse inside. Good luck to all of you guys buying it without warrenty, new viper has close to a 60% failure rate.

yes that was the first big shipment, it has now gone way down.

the 5901 isn't as bad as the 5701 by a LONG-shot. 5701 has had major issues.

how is the viper 5900 failure rate looking at getting one for $173 shipped. I am having it installed by someone and dont want them to install a non working unit, then after installing it find out it doesnt work. I dont want to pay to install something not working and have to pay them to uninstall it and reinstall a new working one.

Looking to purcahse from this website. Any negatives about this website
