i have no idea on what games to get because i wasnt planning on getting one till later next year but whatever. i tried playing that shit kinda drunk and i didnt know wether to play the game or watch the backgrounds. shit looks very very very nice through the component cables at 720p. wow.

i noticed the xbox gets pretty hot after short periods of time though. that common? or is it nothing to worry about?

Put some fans on it and it should help it some. I have 3 of them from radio shack, not excatly cheap fans, but they do the trick. My whole entertainment center gets hot so I have 12 of them all together. Sounds a little loud and annoying untill I turn up the surround sound.

the intercooler voids your warranty also, btw. The plastic can melt and the tabs will fall into the xbox and mess shit up

i didnt check my first xbox that i sent in to microsoft to get fixed but i know when i got a refurb back that on the back where you attach the intercooler there are 3 fans inside the unit. is that something they added when they fixed it or something thats always been there? i cant imagine its safe to put fans on top of fans. if they arent moving at the same speed wouldnt that mess each other up?

3 years for the red ring, 1 year for everything else that could go wrong... the unit needs ALOT of ventilation. check the manual and make sure you have the clearance it calls for.

Yes sir, I have Ethan Allen cabinets and when I didn't have the much in there it was fine, but the addition of the xbox 360, my HD DVD player and my Tivo(Which I hardly use anymore) and my 100 disc cd changer would all get hot. So I didn't waste anytime cooling things down. Kinda sounds like a jet in my house, lol! i've had mine for a quite a while and have had no problems. No extra fans or anything. Just let it run.

That intercooler thing i heard actually makes it worse so i wouldn't go for it. If you really worried just keep it in a well ventilated place.

Mine is on top of my surround sound reciever which on the top is full of open slots so it vents the bottom too.

But you shouldn't have any problems with it...

...i haven't.
