Just cannot stop buying toys

Well, winter is here. So I made a trip to the local hobby shop to check out the latest cars and walked out with this.

Its a Traxxas Slash, and I plan to race in a spec class with it. Not a bad ride for $200. Had plenty of fun at the track with it this weekend and have it setup to handle like its on rails at the track now. Just something I have always been into since my dad and I raced 25 years ago. He will still come to my races every now and then just to hang out. Good times! And the best part, after not touching anything RC for about 8 months.. I was owning the track in no time. Makes the guys that know who I am sick, and just pi$$es off the ones that dont know me, cause they think Im some noob when I show up!

nice, i allways loved rc cars. i have sold off most of my nitros but i want to get back in to electrics again. so much has changed over the years. i never though i would see a electric beat a nitro in a race. i buy my stuff from tower hobbies but u did the right thing. if for some reason u have a issue or wana just go in and talk with the guys at your lhs u can. what remote u have?

Its electric. I stopped racing Nitro when I got tired of chasing the elusive tracks. Plus I dont mess with RC in the summer. When I was running Nitro, I was running indoors freezing my a$$ off.

That was actually my last Nitro race. Out of a field of 45-50 MT racers from MI, OH and IL. Really miss the 30+ minute mains!

As for my radio, I use a JR XS3 Synth. Everyone runs spektrum now. Ill change over when the radio I know, and love dies!

I have a gas and electric rc i hate the gas one such a pain. The electric I just stick the battery in have fun.. So much more simple and there just as fast now days..

Tuning a Nitro is a pain of you dont know exactly what you are doing. I can do it by sound alone now. If you dont know what you are doing, you can have a paperweight in 10 minutes, and thats pretty frustrating for noobs.

Exactly, I think this queer just likes to hang out with a bunch of prepubescant little boys. I am sure he was sexually abused as a child and has issues but still. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.
