Just bought a RF T1 12''....

I got a new car and my L5's wouldnt fit in the trunk so i sold them and purchased a Rockford Fosgate T1 12.

Ive had it hooked up for a few days and im just not very pleased. I have an AQ1200d and have the sub wired to 1 ohm. I bought the box off of crutchfield.. Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker Ported single 12" subwoofer enclosure (Model BB12-150V) at Crutchfield.com

Im not sure if im just expecting too much or something isnt right. Bad box maybe? i dont know much about boxes. Also, my power wire to my amp is 8 gauge. Would it make any difference if i got a bigger gauge of wire?

For starters, RF subs are meh. Prefab boxes are meh. And running 8g off 1200w is going to hurt your amp sooner or later. Bump it up to at least 4g, and if you haven't already, do the big 3.

box is wayyyy Small.

the RF t1, is solid SPL, no real SQ.lol

ermm...8ga.. max load on that i believe is 80-100 amps?

run 4 gauge minimum as stated. good amp though.

id sell the sub and try out some SSA, AQ, Cadence, D.A.D (new), SA

That box is only 1.6 ft², kinda small for a 12 and who knows what it's tuned to. Definitely think you should get a better box.

There are a few people on here that will build you one and send it to you, but if you have some basic tools you can build it yourself. RAM will take care of designing it for you, all you have to do is cut out the pieces and glue them together lol

buck can design them for $1 if you can build them... otherwise pro rabbit can design and build.... but cost a bit more. All depends on what you can do yourself.
