Just bought a jasper jig, which router bits?

Which router bits do I need to cut circles with the jasper jig?

Also what size roundover bit should I get to round the edges? 1/2"

Menards has some tool shop bits. They are cheap, but a carbide blade. Will they do the job for a lil while until I can upgrade? I can get like 4 of their roundover bits for $10, or how bout the harbor freight bits?

Buy good bits. Seriously.

Whiteside, Freud, etc.

Also, the Jasper Jig comes with directions as to what bits you need.

I prefer 3/4" roundover's.... They have a 1/2" shank on them so make sure you get a 1/2" colet for your router.. You might be able to find 3/4" roundover with 1/4" shank but I doubt it. Also my 3/4" roundover was $55 and its lasted me almost 2 years. I also have a 1.5" roundover that I like to use on the double baffle setups, but they are quite beastly to do work with.

I'm about to drop $65 on three Whiteside bits, the 1/2" roundover, 1/4" straight, and flush trim. They better be worth it. lol

I'd go no smaller than a 3/4" roundover if your going to be using for baffles or port panels.. But for jusy roundover an entire outside of a box it works nice.

I've got a cheap router and it's got a 1/4" shank. I don't think they make a 3/4" roundover for a 1/4" shank.
