JL12W7 or JL13W7 running off my Arc Audio KS1000.1??

So if I threw the FI Q out of the mix and went with the JL W7 - my original question still stands. Will they be happy with my amplifier? Does the motto stand, "It'll work, but that'll work better (that - referring to the JL 1000/1). Does the 13W7 really need way more than the 1000 watts my amp is willing to give? Would I be better suited for the JL12W7?
You can't under power a sub. You can give it less power than its full potential, But it's not something that doesn't work if you don't give it enough power.

If you wanted, you could run 2 13w7's on mere milliwatts and have a very big, heavy, and expensive set of headphones.

Per given power, The 13w7 will have better quality, and output. Period. It doesn't matter if you are running 25 watts or 1000, the 13w7 will always perform better.

so why would you want a smaller size if the bigger is always better?

Perhaps you don't like really loud bass and don't want to spend the extra money, perhaps you don't have enough space. Who knows, Point is 13W7 > 12W7 in every way (performance wise) regardless of the power given by the amp.

If you can get the 13w7 for $375, theres your answer!
Forget $$ for a sec, all things being equal will Fi or DC outperform a w7..??..??

I know some subs may have better sq, some sub may have better spl, but what sub hands down has a better blend of both then a w7?

Will I drop $800 for a new 13w7, hell to the naw but thats the ONLY reason, not performance!

Yes your amp will work!
Are you fuckin kiddin me!? I've heard JBL GTi 15's, JL W7 13's, and Fi Q 12's b4, hell I'll even throw in RE MX 12's and all were superior to the W7's. I am not impressed with output performance of the W7's.

Do what you want to, it's your money. I'd get the Fi Q or the JBL GTi IMO.

its been done in a showoff several times //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

been there and saw it with me own 3 eyes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

the W6 on 1kw will outperform a W7 in the right enclosure and it will sound far better doing it

so you saying HANDS DOWN BETTER, I wouldnt buy that POS

cus thats what Im sayin, not equal, not alill, better PERIOD?

JL's overpriced we all know it but hes getting it for less then $400 how can he go WRONG!

I don't want to, but i'll ask it anyway...
Are you assuming that the W7 will be in the wrong enclosure?
no i am saying a w6 in a spec box sealed on 1kw vs the w7 in a spec box sealed on 1 kw the w6 has better output especially down low and gets louder the w7 will take more power but will never sound 1/2 as good as the w6v2 does not even close.

The only thing that concerns me there is that you would pop the cone out of the W6 on a true 1000watts in a spec ported box.

so you are saying that on 1kw true power ( say a 1000/1? ) you wouldnt use a single 12W6? for fear of it breaking?

so then using that logic a Hifonics 600 rms brutus is a better build quality sub since they take 1kw rms daily right?

if you research it they have been shown on 1kw each that the w6 had better cleaner output and the w7 gets shitty on high power as far as sq

No i'm saying that a W6 can't take 1000W for long in a spec box. Whereas the W7 was built to operate at and over this level.
