JL12W7 - IDMax 12 - Ported or Sealed?

Application: A boat compartment. There will be a vent to allow the air to escape and sound to disperse throughout the cabin. Overall though, the subwoofer will be fighting with wind and boat noise.

Still deciding between which subwoofer to go with- JL Audio 12 W7 or Image Dynamics IDMax 12. Both are practically the same price.

The subwoofer will be powered by a Kicker ZX750.1.

What should I go with. Slot ported or sealed?

Fi Q for the money saved and definitly ported.

Get the Damm W7 if you can afford it, the Fi Q will be just as loud with 900 watts tho and save you mad $$.

IDMax sealed!! the Max a super clean and hard hitting bass. It is a SPL/SQ sub.
