ok so my buddy gave me 2 jl 10w3-d4 subs. and i was wondering if they were decient and if they will bump or if i should sell em.

decent subs, had a pair of the 12"s myself. nice sq, but don't expect some huge output from them. but you can't beat free subs.

thats what i was sayn. ive never built a box and dont plan on it for these. but if i put them in a band pass do ya think they would hit good? my buddy had them in his escape and in a sealed box and they hit hard and actually kinda low

never heard them in a bandpass, but if you do it then have someone that knows what they are doing make the box. don't go out and buy a prefab bandpass, they ****. i had mine in both a sealed and ported box and liked them. if you keep them, i'd say get a ported box made for them, tuned low.

yea they sounded like 12s inside the escape. it actually bumped. i have 2 or 3 bandpass boxes.

Great subs IMO... spend the money and get someone to build a proper ported box and you will be a lot happier with them....

ok. i got a full size bronco, so a ported box would probably be the way to go. i got 12s but kinda wana shed a few pounds.

YOU DRIVE A BRONCO!!! You're worried about weight?!??! If you want to shed pounds, take off the top... that will give you 200lbs.

yea i know but me and some buddy are haveing power wars and i 4 wheel alot and the box i have now weights almost 115 lbs.
