JL XR650's-Csi

Anyone run with these 6.5 components? I'm looking to upgrade my stock's to a set of components in the front doors and coax's in the rear doors.

Looking to spend between $250-$400...

Is there anything else within that price range that will outperform the JL's...

The doors are going to be pushed by a Kenwood KAC-650.....

4 JL 10's..are going to be pushed by 2 Alpine MRV-500's....

Anybody?...

I here names like Diamond Audio, CDT, Rainbow's etc... I'm not familiar with these... the last time I had any type of system in my ride was 93' ....so things have come a long way since then....

I've seen cheap comps and expensive comps so there has to be a difference in order to justify price...this is where you all come in.

250-400 is a good range

for just over 200 you can pick up rainbow soundlines

then at 400 you can pick up rainbow germaniums (which i wish i owned)

Things such as these I prefer to buy new Fox, I don't know what the guy before me ran through em' and I don't like to spend money twice.

I have heard a lot of rave reviews about the Rainbows, was having a problem finding an online site that carried them..like cardomain or crutchfield etc...

Back in 93' I had a Targa HU ...with an enclosure that had 2 10" Pioneer subs....back then it like Cerwin Vega, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood were considered the creme de la creme of car audio...nowadays it seems like things are way different...

Wow... speed and sound has the Rainbow SL 165's for $134 and the comps SLC 265's for $289.....SWEET!!!!....

You can get the SLC 265 for around 220 maybe less from Don on this forum with full warranty. PM 6spdcoupe.

I have the JL XR comps and they sound really good IMO. Paid $300 for them and they are very much worth the price.
