I dunno about the Mag being a W7-Killer. It definately holds its own... but in a sealed box, the W7 will surely take it in output.

For the money, its definately a W7-killer though.

I haven't heard the RL-s yet, but looking at the specs on that thing, you might want to check it out if you're looking for some amazing SQ.

I have heard the 10" W6, W7 (it was either 10 or 12"), and I own a Kicker 12" L7. The W6 is very powerful and I was considering buying one. But the Kicker L7 sounds better and definitely has more SPL.

The W7, In my opinion, is not worth the huge cost over a W6. Is it better, well I guess. But that's like saying you can buy a car with 200 horsepower, or the same car with a turbo-charger that adds 10hp for $3,000 more bucks.

I doubt you heard them all in the same conditions then... because W6's aren't much better than W3v2's, and W7's kick both of their *****.

I have no comment on the L7, but have only heard good things.

no idea which kind of W6 it was. They were on display at Tweeter in Rockville, MD. I like JL Audio, but for the tracks I was testing out, the L7 sounded the best. And for $225 bucks on-line, it was the best price too (heard it in the store and liked it, but they were asking too much $$)

I think I went on pricegrabber.com (thezeb) for the kicker... and then went to hookedontronics.com for the aluminum grill.

The L7 will get louder in spl but in no way is it better then a w6v2 in sql. I have ran 4 of the w6v2's so far. And I have ran 3 L7's in diffrent setups The L7's you need the perfect box in order to get them to have good sql but it isnt even that good. Odds are you might have heard the w6v1

I beg to diff the w3v2 is a **** nice sub i must say and for the $200 or less price tag its well worth its money. The w6v2 i purchased yesterday is louder and cleaner in the same box on less power and it hasn't even begun to break the mechanical parts in yet. Now as far as the w6 vs the w7 w7 is louder but the w6 is cleaner or at least IMO. The local shop let me try both in my car before i purchased one.

And those 6v2's will take alot more power than rated as well and sound good with alot or little power I have ran them from 100rms to 1000rms and they just seem to amaze me. I dont want to sell my pair now this is my 2nd set of 12's. But once again I will let caraudio go for a few months.

no, hes not kidding. many RTA's agree, magnums get louder than W7's. many ears agree they are on par if not more pleasing SQ wise.

as far as a W6 Vs. a W7, i would chose a W6v2 over a W7 any day of the week. might not get as loud, but i think they sound nicer, and have plenty of output.

You must be mistake here. The w6v2 has better sq than the w7's. The w7's have more spl output. Yes both will get loud but I would pocket some money and get the w6v2's. Actully I wouldnt get anything jl, but just saying. I dont have deep pockets.

Why the JL vs JL debate? He was asking about SQ woofers if I remember right, so say your piece and move on. If you like JL and are happy, say so, but don't try and tell someone else you know yours is better, it probably is...to YOU. I have heard a ton of subs over the years, and I know what I like, and I also know I am not the ultimate judge of woofer supremecy, so take it easy and stop bitching at each other.
