JL W7 or Treo SSI

spoke to a tech at JL yesterday and he said for my car as long as mine has the seats that fold down. a ported box would sound great. not that my seats have to be in folded down position just that it is not sealed off he said
he also said the W7 doesn't work well in a bandpass to go with a W6 if bandpass

i think i might just get 1 W7 8' in there HO box and call it a day with there 250/1 amp

you guys think 1 w7 8" will be enough or get 2???

if you get one, i think you would be happier with 400-500 watts on it.

price on the treo's isn't cheap. retail is 280 each but i'm sure you could them around 200 a piece.

Not to be a thread jacker but where the hell can I find the Treo's? I called them and asked for a dealer near me and they gave me the name of a dealer that doesn't carry them anymore and the next closest one is about 3hrs away from me. Does anyone know of an online dealer that sells the ssi8's?

where in FL are you. the one i went to is in Boca Raton. he priced me $250 for the 8" treo ssi

Port St Lucie, but Treo didn't give me anyone in Boca as an option. What shop?

my friend has an 8w7 in the h.o. box..its in his extended cab truck and it gets very loud for an 8"...he has the 500/1 on it with gains set right and like someone else said i too believe your going to need more than the 250/1 to get everything you can outta the sub.
