I have two w6v2's in a jl prefab sealed box and it is loud and sound incredible if it was me i would get w6's the w7 is more exspensive not much louder dosen't sound as good but it hits a little lower

Get the L7, give it 800-1200 watts, have someone on this forum design you a box, then build it. I promise you'll be louder then your friend and his prefab box

i just sold 2 of my kicker l7's for 1 jl audio 12w7...i would go with the w7....i think it beats harder than both of my l7's did...and plus l7's blow easy

Box specs and power on both the L7's and the the W7? I completely disagree with the comment about L7's blowing easy. The L7 that was used in the box build in my sig was ran on 1200 rms daily, and was burped at 2000 rms.

I think most members on here would agree that 2 L7's have the potential to get louder to both the ear and the mic than a single W7, granted the proper and power and enclosure.

remember that the box is at least as important as the sub. that being said i would give the sq edge to jl and spl to the L7. i have owned both so i am not just guessing.

I went from 1 15'' L7 with 1200 rms to 2 12'' CVX's and a PA3000, and I actually preferred the L7.
