JL W7 or Kicker L7

So I've been in a competition with my friend for years now, we each have alpine head-units,

he has a

-Kicker impulse amp (380 watts bridged)

-2 12w3v1's in a HO box

I have

-JL Audio 500/1 amp

-2 12w3v2 in a prowedge box

I want to get something better, I'm looking at spending around $300-$350 and I can get some L7's, should I wait for a W7? What do you think??

is the L7 better than the W7 or is this a moot point? I would be looking at one 12L7 or 1 12w7...

I would REALLY appreciate any information I could get, I'm trying to learn more here so I don't have to bother anyone anymore!

If you just want loud go for a l7, If you want decent loud and sound real smooth get a w6. Or better yet 2 w6's.

depending on power your throwing them I would say the W7 will better overall. A lot of ppl on here state that the L7s get loud, but lack SQ....Although have been known to win SQ comps as well...

The w7 will still get decently loud and will maintain some decent SQ.....

I agree with the w6s.....2 would be perfect, and dont need that much power and dont take up as much space....

But the w6 is an awesome sounding sub and have heard nothing but great things about the SQ from ppl....even the JL haters

I say there are plenty of great options. Honestly. What is your budget? What kind of car is this going in? Any details you have, let us know. We can help you a whole lot better that way.

Don't laugh. I have a Suzuki Aerio Hatchback.... hahahaha. my budget is $200-$300, and since I currently have 2 12w3v2's it would have to be 1 sub that would out perform those 2 together....
