Which is a better sub: The Powerbass S-12D or JL Audio 12w6v1??

I have never seen the Powerbass S series 12's. But they look like they are better than the JL 12w6v1's, because the powerbass S series has a bigger surround and looks as if it has more excursion. And will push more air and hit harder. I have 3 of the JL 12w6v1s, looking to get rid of them and get new subs. I have no idea what subs to look for, My shop carries JL, RE, Powerbass, RF, bunch of others. Right now, I have a 1700w amp powering my subs, it does 500x1@4 ohms and 850wx1@2ohms. I would like to get the most outta my amp, so i need (3) dual 4's for a 2.67 ohm load. Looking to spend like under $140 per sub. My subs are getting old, I mean they look brand new, but i would like some current stuff. Just let me know what you think i should look at as far as subs. Thanks.

Bro you may want to look into dayton subs. Your amp may put some limits on what you may be able to get. Have you thought about getting a bigger amp? What are those JL subs you have rated rms?

They are 300w rms each and 600w Peak each. I bought them used about umm 3 years ago, they are from 2000. Mint condition too. Just looking for something new that is 300w rms each, New amp means new wires, fuses, and all that. I would like to keep everything I have, just swap for new 300w rms subs.

I have powerbass S12 on mac audio z2200... is good wofer for entry level.....

the good one is old hight series PB ES D12-D2 that win all test in German autohifi...

but I think that JL 12w6 will better....

Yeah, I like my JL Audio W6's, Nothing like having some 8 year old subs that still pound. I have a quick question, I have a 4 channel that is a 40A fuse rated amp, I would like to get a 60A fuse rated amp, a US-AMPS 4300x. What should i do as far as electrical to make the swap?? I am pretty sure i have to swap 2 fuses. The one in the distro block, take out the 40A and put in a 60A fuse, and Under the hood, I have a 100A Maxi Fuse, Do they make a 120A Maxi fuse?? And will 8 gauge power and ground be good enough for the 4300x?? Thanks.
