Jeez audioholic, stop the hate parade //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I was being serious. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
How can having this much fun be hate. lol

Got me there....

But i did get some remark from a dealer here, price for a 07' W7 13.5" is $600-$700, for a 08' W7 13.5" is $700-$800....

Couple weeks ago.... Hmmm, must be talking bubbles!

why would you?
they still sell like hot cakes.
Yea, I am dumb for thinking a major car audio company would be more interested in doing something for the consumer, than just making money... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

EVERY company out there is trying to make money, that is the whole point. They have no need to try and lower the price or re-design it when they have other lower entry subs and people are still buying these ugly bastages at top dollar prices.

Marketing owns.

Sarcasm>You

I don't need an economics lesson. I know JL gives a **** stick about the consumers.

What exactly needs to be improved on the W7 to make it stand out from the crowd? Its already got some of the most impressive displacement potential on the market (and has had for YEARS), it already has a ruler flat BL curve that many newer speakers would kill to have. It already has notoriety (its been the benchmark subwoofer for YEARS).

Could JL improve it by now? Yes, Im sure they could. But to act like they aren't providing the consumer with a top-notch product is simply being disingenuous. Many manufacturers are just now catching up to what JL accomplished with the W7 years ago. Dont render it as obsolete technology just because its been around a while.
