JL Owners/Listeners...

I have an '02 Jeep GC and it's time to turn my attention to the subs. My amp is a Soundstream 800x1 2ohms/1000x1 1ohm - I am looking for something that will give me great SQ and at the same time (although of lesser importance) give me some good SPL. I am pretty much set on a sealed enclosure and JL subs, but which ones and how many is something I struggle with like a heroin addict 3days off the needle. Here are choices and let me know what you think, how yours (or your buddies) sound, what do you suggest etc etc...keep in mind all enclosure will be built exactly to suggested JL dimension - Thanks everyone

3 8w7's @ 1ohm - I think this setup will hit hard and sound good...will 3 8's move the air though? I think this would be ideal as long as it's loud enough

3 10w3v3's-4 @ 1.3ohms - This will surely be loud, but will the w3v3 be on par with w6/w7's in SQ ? Will those hit deep enough (Xmax 14mm)?

2 12w6v2 @ 1ohm - This may be the ticket, but do I HAVE to be ANOTHER guy with 2 12's (does anyone know what I mean) -

13 W7 Ftw!!!!
In a sealed enclosure? I have seen these things FLEX sh1t but they were always in ported/bandpass enclosures. Also a dual 1.5ohm speaker creates impedence problems with my 1ohm stable amp....

u can not go wrong with the w7

3 8 w7's will make you happy, and if it doesnt then there isnt to much that will, and yes they will move air lots of it, its the baddest 8 on the market so you cant go wrong with it

otherwise i would say get 3 10w6v2's that would be the only other thing i would say from jl if ur lookin for output and sq

How about a single 13W6 then?
I could run 2 13w6's in parallel @ 1 ohm and be right in the rated RMS range...hmmm then I could "tell" everyone that they're just "12's". This may sound dumb, but I've never heard a 13" JL at anything less than ear-bleed SPL levels (and always 13w7) - How does that size translate into SQ?

Yeah... 3 10w6v2's would be hot but I don't have the amp (yet) for it and I think it'll be a while before I upgrade the amp. At the 2.6ohm rating the 3 10w6's will be wired at I'll be somewhere under 800rms and that (to me) won't get it done for 3 10's rated at 1200w total, hence the 3 10w3v3 suggestion which subsequently is about $300 cheaper than any of the other suggested set-ups

go wit 2 13w6v2's and u will be so happy

i disagree, there are much better speakers than the w7 no matter what the size....other than a 13 i suppose
hmmm... suggestions??? Keep in mind I want to go sealed for SQ and have (up to) 1000wRMS @ 1 ohm - 800w2ohm - 500w4ohm

in tearms of sql..i unno do i mean ppl might hate jl for there pricing but the w7 is really a great driver especially for 4 year old technology..im not disagreeing wit u but u cant doubt everything
im just saying theres better out there for the money, just trying to save him a few bucks

why not just do 2 idmax 12's. i would think that would be plenty of output. my 1 idmax 12 is mindboggling sometimes. also its alot cheaper to fix if it ever gets messed up or blown from a clipped signal. i mean its like 350 to recone a 12w7. 13w7 would be probably 400 or 450 i bet.
