JL or Kicker

i'm just talking subs here, assume ideal power and enclosure

what is better hands down

2 12inch kicker L5s

or 2 JL 12w3v2s

i know the kickers are rated to handle more power

which is better for

1) SPL

and

2) SQ (my guess is JL for this one, but i'm not sure about SPL)

personally ive dealt with both, and i give it to JL on both catergories. Definately on sq are the jls better. Dont let power ratings fool you. On spl, it is a tight race, but i would rate the w3s inbetween the L5s and L7s. I had 3 15 w3s that hit around 152db, so ive always been a fan. Good luck in your choice.

i am a big fan of kicker products but the jl,s will whoop the kickers *** they will sound better wont put out the bass the l5 will but the jl,s are the better choice overall .

that wold be a matchup but dont they use the L5's for sq competitions?

the l5,s are not for sq thats for sure i think they sound like *** if you ask me . if you were going to compare the subs you would have to put the jl against the l7 which is alot more money . the jl speakers are the better choice
