Jl Audio w7

I just got a 12" JL W7 and was wondering if its fine to run it with my hifonics brutus 1650? I know that the w7 is svc 3 ohm and my amp is stable at 1600@1

1100@2ohms and 550@4ohms. So should I be ok? If so how much watts rms is going to be going into the w7? thanx

Just watch your gain setting

You should be gettin around the RMS of a w7 from that amp @ 3ohm.You could actually use a little more. But read the tutorial in the amp section on how to properly set your gain and everything should be fine.

you shouldn't have any problems. i let a friend borrow my amps for a comp. they did 2.4kw @ 2 ohm (autotek mx 5000's), we ran them 1.5 ohm to each his W7 13's.

he did "battle of the bass". 1 min of full bore with well over 2k each sub, no problems. averaged spl of 148 +/- on the TL. 150.1 burps.
