I am wanting to buy some jl audio subs from a guy who has 3 12"subs. They are all 3 in a box together. 2 of the subs are 12" w3v3+2 and 1 is 12" w3v2. What size amp do i need to power them and best brand for cheap

First of all you don't want to run different subs in the same setup/enclosure

Secondly, I would make him an offer on the 2 w3v3 and use the money you saved on a custom box for the two

You can browse the classifieds here and find a 1,000 - 1,200 watt ((RMS)) amplifier and set the gains properly for a clean signal. You can find many amp reviews across the forum if you are unsure

Hey man thanks for the info. I spoke with a buddy of mine who works at radio shack and he told me that i should .stick with 10" s instead of jumping up to 12" because i really would like to keep them under the rear seats and can use the same box ive got. Whats your opinion on 10" vs.12". Can i get as much bass out of a set of 10"s and not have to put the box in my seats
