I'm hearing a lot of chatter that this Alpine sub is every bit as good for quality and pound as the JL. Ive only heard the JL so I don't know. Anybody hear both and have an opinion? I'd like to hear your thoughts... (Going into a sealed box, powered by a JL 500/1)

If you're stuck on a sealed enclosure, id go the JL route. Especially if you're going to stick it in a smallish sealed. And on 500w?.. The JL might be your best bet.

Agree with shredder to go JL if you’re going sealed on 500/1. That Alpine X is a great sub too but in that application I’d go JL

It's subjective, but I prefer fronts only. As loud as most of our systems are, the rear passengers can hear the fronts just fine. Imagining even...
