JL Audio 1000/1v2 vs. JL Audio 1000/1

Extremely satisfied with the New JL Audio 1000/1V2 I picked up at speakerboom.com. It doesn't seem to heat up as fast and little bit more output than the old one. However, the old one was made in the states and lasted almost 7 years for me. Design wise, the new one has a sleeker look and still a great level of adjustments. I will be reviewing the new W6v2 subs I ordered shortly. I think the 1000/1V2 is a bit too much power for my Kicker Comp Vr's.

didn't they finally discontinue that amp? there not really new they are quit old, and the w6v2 came out a while ago to.

never the less i did own one for a while great amp (over priced) like my fosgates much more.
