JL 8w3v3

Just looking back at discontinued models, all the previous models of the w3 wanted .75 cubed and the v3 wants .35 cubed. I don't see how a tenth could affect it too much. I think I am going to give it a shot unless someone can recommend a sub for .46 @ 35 that I would be better off with.

You should be fine. I had some 10w3's the new models and they did well in just about any enclosure. They sounded great but just didnt have the deep lows like I wanted. With sealed at that size dont expect much in the way of output

Thanks, It's a ported box
How much are you getting the sub for if you don't mind me asking? A better idea would probably be to sell it on craigslist cause you can get pretty good money for anything JL on there and then buy a better 8". SA8 either the v1 or v2. both are going pretty cheap on here. The alpine type r 8" also. There are quite a few 8" subs that run cheap that will give you more output than that JL. How much power you gonna run to it?

I'll set it with a dmm, I can send 230@4ohm 400 at 2 ohm or 600 at 1 ohm. I'm getting it for $80. The Type R 8 is definetly an option for $100 off ebay. I need a sub with a mounting depth less than 4.75"
