Yes. It will run whatever as long as the impedance matches. In this case, 4ohm final. RMS is a thermal/mechanical limit from a constant sine wave over a period of time.

It's not a have to have number. More the better though. Easy to take away output. Can't add output that's not there.

So do you think I should get a bigger amp i want to run the subs to their full potential without worrying about blowing them I'm pretty new to all this subwoofers and stuff thanks for all your input

It's up to you. More power makes more output.

The enclosure is the most important though.

Don't let just any shop build that box. JLs listed specs ****

What would be a good amp size to run up to full potential without failure ... I don't know if that's right question to ask sorry

No right answer. Amps ratings don't mean much in the real world.

600-2000 watts would be fine if the install and set up is right.

Things you need to take into consideration.

Electrical system. It takes power to make power. If your car has a 80 amp alternator and you don't plan on changing it.. 600 watts from a very inefficient slash amp may not be good for you.

Those amps pull a lot of power to do what they do.

If you listen to bass heavy music all the time you won't want to max out their ratings.

If you are into sound quality, that's what those subs do well, you will listen to mostly 80s music and Jazz. In that case it don't matter because you won't use much power daily.

I'm going to put them in a f250 powerstroke i do want to push the so with that info I think I may go up a step in the amp.. what's your thoughts on that

Go for it. Like I said. More power the better. I have 2x rated on every speaker. But I don't use half of it.

Like I said. It's all in the box. If you plan on going under the seat you might be better with a pair or 3 ported 8s. Beefy 8s not JL, Kicker, Rockford stuff

I'm taking the back middle console out have have a box built...hopefully it turns out awesome I'll post pictures and let you know what it's sounds like and if I decided to get a bigger amp... I really appreciate your help and time
