Jl 250/1---???

Hey just wondering if anyone knew the actual rms wattage from the 250/1???

Ive heard of the jl 500/1's putting out ~733 rms. Reason being is I have a brand new Infinity perfect 12 DVQ and want to know if the 250/1 will power it sufficiantly or if i must go with the 500/1. Thanks

I had a 250/1 and it killed a 250 rms sub and the gain was set up correctly.

I don't think they come with a birthsheet so unless you find somone who has benched it, the world may never know!

I sell and have sold JL amps for over 5 years now. I HAVE HAD THE MAN THAT DESIGNED THESE AMPS hanging out at my store. He dated one of my friends for a while.

The 500/1 regularly puts out 525-550 watts RMS. That is it.

The 250/1 regularly puts out 260-280 watts RMS. That is it.

They are GREAT amplifiers but do not be tricked into believing that these amps do 200 watts more than they are rated at. They are simply not designed that way.

They are designed to be consistently consistent if you get what I am saying. Give them 11 volts or give them 14.4...you will get all your power all the time.

I would go with the 500/1. It is a great sounding reliable amplifier. You will not be dissapointed.
