How should I wire this series 3 ohms or parallel 1.5 ohms? This is for a daily driver for my son.

It doesn't matter. The amp will put out the same regardless. I'd do 3ohms.

ok finally got it hooked up and the used amp I bought does not power on. Do these amps have internal fuses? The amp/sub I pulled out worked fine.

it would be .75 ohm series, so u wouldn't actually be able to run it with that amp. it's not stable that low. but make sure u have good grounds and whatnot

yea I wired it in series so I should be good to go. The grounds and all are good as they were in use minutes before hooking up the 1000/1.. I was trying to get it all done tonight as its my son's BD present.

well is the remote wire hooked up? are u getting 14v to ur amp?

the remote wire is hooked up not sure what voltage I am getting. Is there a link that shows how to test that as I have a volt meter.

Uh... put the voltmeter on 20vdc, ground the black lead from the meter, and stick the red one onto the remote wire.

ok I will do that. The other amp works fine though I re installed the other one and back to normal. Its like the JL has no power as non of the lights lite up either on the amp not a one.

Up for some help for Jeff. This was my amp and it worked fine when I had it. Are there any other suggestions for him?

I am going to take it into a local shop tomorrow and see if they can test it out for me.
