Do you think im underpowering my W7 I def think it could be a lot louder than it is right now because right now I think my 2 15w3's on this same amp were louder. Im getting about 12.2-12.5 volts. I have 2 farad Cap. My sub is wired in Series so its at about a 3 ohm load. Heres the specs I gathered on my amp

Kenwood Excelon KAC-X811D

POWER RATINGS: Maximum Output Power: 1600 Watts x 1 - Power Output at 1 Ohm, at 14.4V (100Hz, 1.0% THD):

1,000 Watts x 1 - Power Output at 2 Ohms, at 12V (100Hz, 0.5% THD):

600 Watts x 1 - Power Output at 2 Ohms, at 14.4V (1kHz, 0.5% THD):

800 Watts x 1 - Power Output at 4 Ohms, at 12V (20Hz - 200Hz, 0.5% THD):

300 Watts x 1 - Power Output at 4 Ohms, at 14.4V (20Hz - 200Hz, 0.5% THD):

400 Watts x 1 - Power Output at 4 Ohms, at 14.4V (20Hz-20kHz, 0.05% THD): 400 Watts x 1

Wattage ratings-

quote-

Kenwood's monster KAC-X811D Mono (Class D) amplifier features 533 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (CEA-2006 Compliant), 919 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms, requires 4-gauge power and ground leads (not included), variable 50-200 Hz low-pass filter at 24 dB per octave, switchable subsonic filter (0/15 Hz, 24 dB/octave), AMS Amplifier Management System (-15 to 15 dB bass level control), LED status display (AMS settings, voltage, current, temperature, fan speed, and protection status), cooling fan.

I had it in parallel before and the box made this "popping" sound. But I didn't have polyfill in it at the time. If I wire it in Parelle wont it be going to .75 ohms? The sub is 1.5 ohms I believe, 3 ohms in series, 1.5 ohms in parallel. I could be wrong with that though

As for the ratings on the amp, they are just what I copied from one of the websites that was selling the amp.. I don't exactly know what the ratings for the amp are thats the main problem.

533 by 1 at 4 ohms and 919 by 1 at 1 ohm are the ratings from the box. But what are the ratings for in between. Like at 3 ohms which it is currently wired.

Where on the box are you reading that?

Kenwood's given specs on that amp are as follows:

533w X 1 @ 4 ohms

919w X 1 @ 2 ohms

1016w X 1 @ 1 ohm (the preceding ratings are all at 14.4vdc input)

Yea my bad, thats what they are, I must have hit the 1 instead of the 2. So what do you guys think? Do you think my amp can handle the .75 ohm load? If I do run that is it safe for the sub? will it be putting out too much? I shouldn't think that it could put out too much. also, I am def not getting the 14.4 volts. I would say on average the Volt rating on my amp is generally saying 12.2-12.5 V constant.
