you mean the JLw6v2 and alpine type x? im just busting your balls, but my vote would go to the type x but as mentioned its power hungry. the type x has a serious low end

sorry to change the topic, but you guys say the type X is power hunger, how much power do they really need? i have 1100 going to it? is that good enough, i know the rms is 1kw but could it take more than that? and if so how much?

i wouldnt be afraid to give that type x 1500 watts. the w6v2 would be my choice. the w6v2 and type x are two different sounding woofers though, its all your choice. if you want some super clean bass i would go with the w6v2, you want louder go for the type x, but you are sacraficing a little SQ when compared to the w6v2.
