JL 12W6 vs 8 or 10W7

Right now I have a 12W6 in a sealed box. I had it in a ported box, but I didn't want it that loud I wanted better SQ and much cleaner hits. The sealed box did help out some, but I think it could be better. I'm thinking of selling it and getting an 8W7 because I been told that the 7 series sounds cleaner. I've heard a 12w7 and it sounded good but it was too loud, and I was wondering if the 8W7 or 10W7 would give me better SQ, I still want it be pretty loud (not 12W7 loud) but I rather have really clean super low hits.

i would go for a 12w6v2. one of the best sounding woofers i have ever heard. it will get plenty loud and sound better than a w7 any day of the week.
