jl 12w6 d4 or d3?

Dudes, which one is better for me the JL 12w6-d4 or 12w6-d3? I am planning to get two subs in a sealed enclosure and am powering them with a 1000 watt one channel mono amp. I hear mono amps are best run at one ohm, is this true?

depends on the amp.....the jbl 1200.1 runs great at 1 ohm....thats what im running my 12w6v2's off of

The amp is a xtant 1001dx, so would I be better off with a pair of 12w6-d3 or 12w6-d4?

the dual 4's because that will be a one 1 ohm load the dual 3's would be below 1 ohm will fry your amp.

But wouldn't it depend on the way I wire the subs anyway?

yeah, its how you wire them, but remember, 2 dual 4 subs can be wired as 4 ohm(series) or 1 ohm(parallel) mono loads. 2 dual 3 ohm woofers can be wired as 3 ohm mono(series) or .75(parallel), and most amps won't run under 1 ohm(heck i wouldn't do it with any amp). So, your better off getting dual 4s, bc you can get a great 1 ohm stable mono amp, or a 2 channel that is 4 ohm mono bridged.

i didnt know they made dual 3 ohms? do they? i thought it was d2 d4 and d6s only...

Sorry fellas, I guess I was wrong. I'm not sure if I should get the d4 or d6.

if your getting 2 id say the d4s theyll run the amp better for wattage, but if u gonna get 3 id say the d6s

So , could I run two d6's at one ohm with a one channel mono amp? I ask because I could get two of the d6's at a good price.
