JL 10w3v3 versus Hertz HX 250

I am currently running (2) JL Audio 10w3v3 off of a JL 500.1v2 amplifier. The W3's are great subs but do get a little muddy on certain bass notes. I am looking for a little more definition and musicality and am thinking about going with (2) Hertz HX 250. Has anyone run these on this amount of power? How do they sound? Any other info is greatly appreciated.
