Jl 1000/1 vs ????

Anything wrong with this amp?

I lined up a decent good price from a local dealer...The website doesn't list it stable at 1 ohm, but the box clearly indicates 1500rms @ 1 ohm???

600 Canadian...brand new etc.

I own an Orion 2100HCCA and a PG Son of Frank. I know what good A/B amps are. I prefer my Sundown 1500D on subs to the Orion because they are audibly indistinguishable and the Sundown gives me more power for less current draw. There is absolutely no reason to run A/B unless you really just want to waste a lot of current.

Surprisingly enough my 2.2HV as a sub amp is very efficient, I've never run into problems with current draw when using it. I'm running the stock 90 amp alt in my Passat, and a duragold or some crap battery like that from Autozone.

Some a/b amps are just inefficient as hell when compared to your basic Class D, others aren't so bad. I'll always use an LP amp as a sub amp, I really just see no reason NOT to.
