jetta system hooked up wrong

ok i just hooked up a system in a jetta 2000 and it dosent work.ok iam gonna tell you guys how i hooked ever thing and you guys tell me what i did wrong.and please tell me how to fix it to ok thanks.ok here we go i used the stock radio and bought a adapter i pluged the adapter in the radio and then there was 3 wires hanging out from the adapter the 2rca's and the remote control wire which powers the amp.now the 2 rca plugins which come out from the adapter are white and red i pluged mym rca wires in the the radio i pluged the red into the red and the white in the black.then i ran the blue power to the front in to the remote control pwoer for the amp then i then my ground wire was the trunck.then i ran my red wire in throgh the fire wall and connected it to the battery + side.now you poeple tell me dosent that souond right.well the system dosent work.i mean the amp is on its bein powered it works but no thump so help me out here

sounds like a loose connection somewhere....sounds like the amp is not getting any sound to reproduce....are you sure you have the adapter hooked up correctly??? and that the rca's are securly connected to the amp and all that..???good luck.....

lol... try turning up the gain.. or checking the X-over or the channel its on..

1meter your sub and make sure the amp can handle the load

2check voltage at remote wire

3make sure ground is solid,metal on metal,no paint ,no plastic

but it sounds like you did everything right
