Jensen with Audiovox NAV100?

So I was thinking about picking up the new Jensen VM9511TS in-dash dvd player and later purchasing the Audiovox NAV100 to use for navigation. I was wondering if anyone currently uses this so I can see if it is worth me buying the jensen and this? Like any information on how good the navigation add-on is.

lol, but the jensen comes with the ipod adapter and tv tuner. I could then buy the navigation system whenever I wanted down the road. It would be easier to spend a little now and a little later then one huge pile. Jensen will be around 1,000 with warranty and the navi will be around 600.

but if you say Jensen is bad, then what navi system would you recomend?

You do realize that you can find the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 for about $1400, and you want to spend a total of $1600 on Jensen and Audiovox? Doesn't make much sense. If you take a look around you can find much better for the money. If you take the Jensen/Audiovox, I would definately have to think you were an idiot.

Pioneer includes Nav, better unit and still about $400 less than you Jensen/Audiovox crap.

edit: You can probably find them for even less somewhere, just wanted to give you an idea of what you could get for the same $$$.

yes that pioneer is nice but I kinda wanted a flip screen, don't know why, just like the look better (yes I know thats a stupid reason). could you recomend any other good navi systems or should I go with that pioneer?

edit: nevermind beat me too it. I was looking at the N-3 but the reviews for it weren't too great. Any experience with it?

No, I use the Eclipse AVN 6600 and have been very pleased with it. I don't think you can get a better IPOD interface. There are tons of things out there, I just really don't think the Jensen combo is the best for the $$$ you are talking about. Maybe go in to a couple shops around you, play around with them to see what you like, and then find it online for a good price.

Well by no mean i`m saying that the Jensen/Audiovox it`s better than the Pioneer, however don`t sleep on jensen either ..for the price i don`t think it`s that bad.Also on the shop that i always hang out they have sold a few and i haven`t seen any returns yet...just my .02

I heard the Jensen unit isn't bad for the price either, but it was not the $1000 price tag he is talking about. You cand find that unit for aprox half that. For a grand, the Jensen should not even come into the equation.

Definetly i got a Clarion vrx 765 for 850.00 and i completly agree it will definetly be a dumb move if you spend 1.000 bux on a Jensen unit.

I was just pricing out the Jensen from an authorized dealer with the extended warranty. I don't know if I want to go with some website that I can't trust just to save some money.

I am kinda leaning towards the Pioneer N3 now, so I don't know
