Hey guys.. I have a Jensen VM9424 head unit installed in a chevy silverado. Before you all go telling me it's junk, i already know that..

My problem is this... the unit powers up and does what its supposed to, however, anytime i use any electrical items (windows, blinkers, brakes, etc) the power cycles just for a quick second. Could this be caused by not enough juice to the head unit? I'm using the adapter specific to this vehicle, and it was pretty much plug and play up to this.

Thanks for any help.

sounds like you have a voltage problem with the car its self, use a dmm and check your batt voltage under a load (stereo on/windows/lights/ac ect) with the car running.

if its not close to 14.4 volts then the batts bad, if that checks out ok check the acc wire on the harness and see if its getting proper voltage.
