if i remember correctly thats still using basically the same technology from the geforce two mx series which is not a good thing. it'll do fine for every day tasks... but when it comes to gaming i hope you dont have very high demands for eye candy etc. with the settings turned down it'll be fine, but any newer games or detailed ones are probably gonna make it choke.

dont do much gaming w/ any games that are too terribly demanding on my system. at least i didnt spend too much on the card. will probably get a better one once i get my system

well hopefully it will do the job for you. i would upgrade the card after you build your next system if i were you.

yea definatly going to go with a much better card....this is jus a fast/cheap upgrade for my crappy system

The FX series is junk. I've seen them, owned them, and tested them. They are just horrible. Jmac's right, a Geforce 6200 or 6600 are great budget cards. Especially on PCIX chipsets.

The FX5200 uses a completely different engine from the GF2 MX, n00b ...
I wouldn't recommend it ... The GeForce 6200TC is an excellent choice for a budget card ...
