It has a unique taste, definitely not nasty. You don't need to put jolly ranchers in it either...just mix it with sprite and you are good. Ratio would be 1oz of lean for 20oz of whatever you are mixing it with. Its not the same as over the counter cough syrup, too completely different things. The feeling is like you are "leaning" haha. Like you srsly feel like your body is leaning while you are sitting straight lol
