Okay guys, the time has come - we're going to be constructing our second party bus! The first one is a 40fter, and has a bunch of Memphis 6x9s, equipped with 2 15" Type Rs and 2 12" Memphises.

Now that we've got our second one, we're looking for a ******* audio system. We're not necessarily on a 'budget' per-say, but we're not looking to spend 8 grand on the audio system. This is our criteria:

  • What 6x9s should we put along the bus? Good price/best performance?
  • Amplifiers to power those 6x9s?
  • Subwoofers (12s or 15s) that'll fill the bus up (another 40 ft. bus) that won't cost $800 a pop
  • And finally, amplifiers for those subwoofers as well.

We're looking for the best performance at a decent price.

Any and all help is appreciated! Begin! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif

Type R 6x9's arent bad for bang/back price/performance I suppose... I'd go for some Crescendo Pro's though.

I suggest Crescendo all around for amps/speakers as for subs get a bunch of Obsidian 18" when they hit the market and throw 1k to each.

You're 16, correct? Where exactly have these party buses came from? And dough?
It's a group of us guys doing it. A friend (who owns a tiling company) is building these buses and renting them out. He's made enough many to actually make a second. So, we're looking for suggestions.

(This guy's rich as hell, I'm pretty jealous. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif)

Take out seats of back to the desired cubic feet, put a few 18's back there and wall em'. Make sure your electrical is decent and put 6 by 9's everywhere you can imagine.

This. Additionally, Iowa sucks and I wouldn't think there would be any partying taking place to begin with.
Yeah, nobody parties in Iowa. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Now let's get some input!

One company we're highly considering is Obsidian, we're thinking of putting 4 OA-18s on it. But we're open to more ideas!

id get /put 18 in there, and strap them with audiopie amp,and use infinity/jbl 6x9,,depending on how many will determine power needed/and power at its best..prob go with ssa subs. just my 2cents:)

You should consider American Bass for everything. Cheap, and gets loud. Most of the guys in the team run their subs. We even got a 161 out of some HD's when we were scerwing around one day.
I've never had any experience with AB, and I very seldom hear about them. Why do you think that is?

Oh well, I'll start looking into them. Thanks for the input. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

american bass all around ,unless you want 6x9's that are components then cdt for that.i'd do 4 18's in a 6th order box in the rear of the bus.2 an 1100.1 amps with 4 ab 350.4 amps for all the 6x9's and components.lots od batteries and 0 gauge wire to boot.dvd system with 1 or 2 21" screens and prolly like 4-6 17" screens
