iTunes Mp3?!?

Umm, I don't pay for food
Ok, I'm trying to burn an Mp3 Cd, but my 5800mp pioneer wont read the CD (error 15). I get my iTunes files (mp3) and choose mp3 cd in my program (Ahead Nero) and I hit burn. For liek 100 songs, it puts them on the CD in like 4 seconds. I put it in my car and I get the Error 15 Message.

Am I doing something Wrong?

Help!!

Itunes will convert it but you have to upgrade to the subscription version -- and the content cannot be protected by copywrite laws.... the best way I found was to create a regular disc (ie: WAV) from I-tunes (like 12-18 songs to make a regular cd)-- Then I just turned around and ripped it to MP3. When I had enough files I made a large (100 songs or so depending on the bit rate you ripped it with) MP3 disc to play in my car... Since you cant save Itunes d/l for backup purposes, any other way that I have found... This at least lets me save my music in a format and usually removes all the licensing and copywrite crap that comes with their downloads.

that should be about as clear as mud! LOL

ya... that too... lol... After re-booting my p/c I didnt even bother loading I-tunes again... too much trouble... if you have an I-pod, I would only use it as suggested above... import.. don't d/l from them...

This is what my files all look like. I just copy them straight out of iTunes and put them into nero, then burn the mp3 cd.

4 seconds seems to fast, I have 52x cd-rw and it usually takes a minute or two. Also you can hear the cd-row kick in and start humming louder than usual. After you burn the cd, can you put it back in the cd rom and explore the cd, if so are all the files on the cd with the .mp3 extension? the only other thing i could thing of is if the id3 tag is really messsed up the pioneer might be having trouble reading it.

I doubt this is the problem, but when you go to burn which options do you have checked:

determine max speed

simulation

write

finalize

I assume you have the default, which should be write/finalize. if not check them both, i have simulation and determine speed off. also do you verify data after burning? I would get a mp3 disc that you know has worked before and use it to confirm the problem is how you are burning the mp3 cd or if something is possibly wrong with the head unit.

I honestly do not know if nero will convert it, but you can try, if it cant nero will abort it. can you post the advanced summary of the properties of a couple of the files you have tried to burn and wont play? I am not that knowledgable with this stuff but you usually can not convert to a higher quality, you can always convert down though.
