I've f*cking had it with iTunes. I'm so sick of apple's crap...iPod syncs but new music doesnt show up, having to update my "library" every time i change the genre of a f*cking song, iTunes DECIDING that they want to automatically import every audio/video file on my f*cking computer even though i set specific folders...no sorry, i dont want my **** and random BS drunk friends have downloaded cluttering up my iPod, iTunes opening up with every f*cking program I use "oh, i see you opened MS paint. let me go ahead and open up iTunes in case you werent already so pissed you wanted to punch babies", automatic updates so persistent its like they come banging on my door at 4am and put a gun to my head saying "if you dont download iTunes 9.0.1.34.5.43.32.00.3 + safari + quicktime were gonna **** your children and drink all your milk except one drop then put the jug back in the fridge"...and this is all just iTunes!!! i hate so many things about apple, but because of my 9800bT, im stuck dealing with their shit for now. why cant they just let u drag and drop f*cking songs onto the ipod?

is there some kind of software to simply do this? i dont need a player or "genius" or pretty album artwork. i just want to turn my shiny $350 9800BT compliant piece of apple junk into a d*mn thumb drive.

You should be able to set it up so that it only syncs selected playlists. Then drag and drop your shit in there...
As for the rest, well, that's just iTunes/Apple.
yeah well i had it set to just impoert what i want, but it decides to erase my settings whenever it wants to

IIRC you can set itunes to NOT update your ipod...then once it's connected you can just drag and drop whatever music you want onto it...at least that's how it was back in the day when I still had my mini.

you have to turn of "sync when connected"

I didn't mind my ipod at all...the only thing I don't like about them is the price, you pay extra for the apple name. And at the time, I hated that they didn't include an FM tuner (I believe the new ones have this) but Creative Zen has had that standard for forever...I'll probably never own another ipod
