It's just that I realize that as long as Saddam is removed from power, with war or without it, the peoples rights will be restored to them. If Saddam was removed without war, the people would still be liberated.

Answer: You can't take him out of power without war. SHould we just send 10 men in and tell sadam to surrender? THis will really work well. All our men will end up on Iraqi television drug through the streets. But ofcourse this would not be enought proof to take him out of power even though part of the UN agreement was to treat his people humanely. Like I said before, those that still want proof would wait until Sadam could send nuclear weapons to attack the U.S.. Then we would have thousands of deaths.

One last thing about extreme liberals. I don't think they realize how evil people work. I think they are so perfect that they can't imagine how someone could do evil. This is why they are unable to think of what enemies may do to us, because they can't even fathom it.

Now does killing 1000+ people justify getting to one person. Its like blowing up a small town because a serial killer lives there, not exactly something that can be justified.

Caraudioaddict it seems you are against war. If all people were like you then we would all be under a communist dictator. In the long run taking Sadam out of power will save more lives than it will kill. It will save the lives of people in many countries.

All of Bush's causes for going to war fall under breaking the UN agreement. The agreement was based on many rules not just one. So really everything he says is based off of this.

Oh. And we have tried to get the gun out of his hand. But he won't even admit that he has a gun and has used it.

Actually Cinton made major mistakes. How do you think North Korea was able to create a nuclear weapons facility? THis doesn't happen over night! Who sold military and nuclear information to China for campaign contributionS? That would be Clinton again. Who went and killed innocent people in Kosovo? Now, how did I know you are both Clinton supporters, because all this has to do with is you hate Republicans. Anything they do is stupid and bad. What party fought for the slaves freedom? Republicans, who were they fighting against Democrats.

I do not base my opinion of an individual on a political party, though it usually has a good indication. I base it on character and their ideology. I will admit I'm registered as a Republican, but I voted Republican, Democratic, and American Independent in the last Ca. state election. I did not vote for Davis. I will vote democrat as long as it is for a position where their ideologies that I disagree with can not be exercised. Republicans are not perfect. In fact Simon and Riordan who ran for governor of Ca. both pissed me off. Riordan was too liberal and Simon kept changing his opinion on issues. I just feel that Republicans are on a better track than Democrats. Most of the Republican leaders are sissies. They try to act liberal to gain democrats' votes. Then they usually do little for the people that vote for them. Bush seems to be a slight exception. They need someone like Tony Blair who speaks his mind and doesn't care if it pisses some people off.

Bush has given reasons to go to war and so has Blair. Just admit that the only thing that would make you guys willing to go to war is having a nuclear or chemical weapon used on America, or whatever country you live in and Sadam actually admitting that he did it. If he said that he didn't do it and your government said he did you would be more likely to believe SAdam, if it was a Republican saying that was saying he used the weapon.

Also the former head of Sadam's nuclear development program even admitted that getting him and his sons out of power is the only way to liberate that country and make it safe for all nations.

http://www.moreorless.au.com/killers/hussein.htm

How about reading this link. Saddamite Hussinsein has been in power 25 +/- yrs. Using the LOW estimate 1,202,500 people have DIED due to Saddam. Now consider this is 1,054 PEOPLE PER DAY FOR 9,131 CONSECUTIVE DAYS! Shame on those who can turn their back and callously say it isn't worth the effort.

With 75% of Baghdad evacuated we could drop a nuke and make it glass in the desert to eliminate the regime and only be equal to the prior carnage.

The only thing I blame the allies for is that this wasn't finished the first time.

SADDAMITE HUSSINSEIN MUST DIE!!!

HIS REGIME MUST END!!!

THE GUILTY MUST PAY!!!

THOSE WHO OPPOSE THE ALLIES ARE DE FACTO SUPPORTERS OF THE REGIME BEING IT THEIR INTENT OR NOT!!!

All these people know is Republican bad, Democrat good and green party good.
I concur. Political ideology over reality.

If Vice Perpetrator Al Bore had been elected we probably would have Osama at the White House for a summit and we would apologize for riling them, toss in a few F16's, and forget it.

If he caught flack in the polls he could always follow Willy's lead and bomd Iraq for a day to knock it off the headlines.

And never forget that Commander and Thief Clinton sold missile targeting technology to the Chinese in exchange for campaign contributions.

Willy might one day pass Saddam in death's he caused.

Finally someone that admits the truth. Russia and France have both proven to us that the UN is a joke on their own. Neither of them followed the UN agreement, yet we are expected to listen to them when they say we shouldn't go in. Russia gave them illegal military weapons, and the French helped Iraq build its first nuclear weapons facility, luckily Israel blew this plant up. I believe Germany was and France were willing to help sadam build an underground nuclear facility according to the former leader of the nuclear development. This guy actually wrote a book about all of this. Do you happen to know his name? I saw him on television about a month ago. Oh this guy also mentioned that Sadam used chemical weapons in Dessert Storm and this caused the gulf war syndrome that we see in our soldiers today. It actually had a worse effect on the civilians than our military because they were in the areas where it was used for long periods of time.

I have little faith in the UN at this point. There are some major problems with it that must be dealt with.

LWW it's nice to know there are some out there that know the truth. I tend to forget this living in the fantasy world of California. Have you ever heard of Michael Savage? He has a book called the savage nation. He is on the radio in my area channel 560 AM KSFO, but I don't know if he's in your area. He also has a tv show on MSNBC every saturday though the war shows may have knocked him off the air, but check it anyway.

It's 5pm ET/2Pm PT and on again at 9Pm ET/ 6PM PT. His book is a top seller, if you don't have it you might want to check it out.

I don't know how you feel about our boarder problems, but here's an interesting stat from his site.

25% of all Federal Prisoners are in the country illegally.

His website is http://www.homestead.com/prosites-prs/index.html or michaelsavage.com.

A friend of mine is dying from this. A point I haven't brought up before due to th vapid nature of some who deny everything about Saddam. It was a blood agent. I have also heard thet we found a paper trail of nyclear material being sent to Russia so as not to be found, I have no proof of this other than several people I know who are people of character and served in the Gulf War. I do happen to work within a stone's throw of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base which is the largest in the nation.

Obvious proof of the racism in law enforcement! We all know that police only harrass the innocent!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

My favorite on war issues from the left is that then Senator Gore made his decision on whether to vote for or against the Gulf War on ehich side would grant him the most speaking time. He had an impassioned speech for each case. Whether he felt the merits were good or bad made no difference. Scary that he was a few hundred votes from the Oval Office.

I'm so glad that he lost. I don't think Bush will be re-elected though, which scares me. Everyone will blame the bad economy that he inherited on Bush.

The left says he lost the popular vote and that we should get rid of the electoral college and make it popular vote I disagree. Psychologists can prove that an electoral college is needed. When you have a state like Ca. that is heavily populated each person will have their own ideology initially. This is known. Then there are those that form a group that has a certain ideology. They argue with the people that disagree and eventually win them over. This is called conformity. This group gets bigger and bigger and as it gets bigger people will want to associate with it to fit in and seem normal. So popular vote would not have representation of all people in the country, it would only represent highly populated areas. In order to represent all people an electoral college is needed so that all geographic areas are supported. What's funny is that I live in Ca. and would actually like to see the right to vote taken away from all people in Ca. I vote but it really doesn't matter because Republicans or conservatives are absolutely hated here. So if they take my right to vote away it would actually help my vote federally because Democrats rely heavily on Ca. electoral college votes which would no longer be here.

Sorry to here about your friend. He and all other truely american soldiers (unlike the muslim soldier that opened fire on the officers) are heros in my eyes. They are much more amazing than the richest person in the world and any athlete. They rank higher than all this stuff including michael jordan. There aren't really words to describe them.

I heard stories about someone in my family that fought in WW II and he had nightmares about it and was never the same afterwards and he became an alcoholic. These guys can end up being psychologically torturred the rest of their lives with flash backs after the war. They see things that most of us can't even imagine.

"All's fair in love and war"
Isn't that how the saying goes.

When it comes to war, the "anything goes" analogy is about as true as it comes. As far a I've ever known the only real rule to war was "SURVIVE"

Why don't the US, Britain and Spanish troops dress up like Iraqi citizens (use some kind of obvious-not_so_obvious marker that the troops can use to determine who is who). Then the Iraqi soldiers won't know to shoot them. Or they'll figure it out and start shooting eachother (not knowing whether the other is Iraqi, or the other guys). Either way it helps.
Interesting philosophy from someone who opposes the war one day and then espouses Saddamite Hussinsein's tactics the next.

AM I to understand from this post that you deplore the allies way of handling this yet support Saddam's? I see no other interpretation myself.

To answer why though...BECAUSE WE ARE AMERICANS AND EVEN WITH ALL OF OUR HUMAN FLAWS WE HONESTLY STRIVE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT IN A VER IMPERFECT WORLD WHILLE SADDAM AND HIS MINIONS ARE COMMON MURDERERS.

As evidence notice on the news. Iraqi thugs still GI's drawers and hide behind women while sending children to fight for them. American GI takes a slug because he took the time to move Iraqi citizens to safety from the line of fire.

Iraqi punk arse cowards kill POWs in cold blood while Americans feed cloth and give medical attention to POWs. I also use Americans genericly to include our allies.

Also on the news last noght were some Taliban released from Cuba and sent home. Out on the street they wished they were back inGitmo. Never had it so good. AMAZING!

Originally posted by joshpoints So, if the US is willing to use the premise that 'anything goes' once war starts so we get to target and kill the rightfull leader of a sovereign nation, why are so many people complaining about Saddam's tactics?

THis is why I can't stand extreme liberals they make absolutely no sense. He is a murderer and governs by causing the citizens to fear him. THat's saying that you can't kill the president of a company that is on a shooting spree at his company. Both are murderers and deserve to be taken to justice. THere is not way the SAdam will surrender so that leaves us one choice to kill him. BUt ofcourse this liberal will not understand the common sense behind this because he doesn't recognize right from wrong. Liberal thinks, so what if he's killing his people he's the leader. I wish all you extreme liberals would go live in Iraq and be voluntary body shields for Sadam unlike the Iraqi citizens.
How does it make no sense? It's called being a hypocrit.. If the premise is true (anything goes) then us complaining is stupid.. if there is a 'rule' that we can't kill a leader but we are trying, then we have no right to cry about him breaking 'rules' either.. it's common sense.. what doesn't make sense is how you find it reasonable to compare the leader of a sovereign nation to the president of a company.. THAT makes no sense..

Just the fact that you make ignorant statements like "Liberal thinks, so what if he's killing his people he's the leader" shows you don't bother to stop and think about what you are saying, nor do you seem to think about why you have the opinions you do. It also shows you haven't bothered to read (or can't comprehend, that's a common problem in this group) the posts where pretty much EVERYONE posting here despises Saddam and thinks he's an evil person.. keep ignoring that fact and creating your own truths.. that will get you far in life..

Perhaps now would be a good time for you to crawl back under your rock and let the adults carry on their debate..
