well it finally happened yesterday. All my posts about getting more bass now have paid off. Now I have to. I blew one of my subs yesterday. The thing was smoking like a son of a gun! This was my sign to now get a new substage. I just recently got a new Jl HD600/4 for my mids and highs so I know I am gonna need some quality lows to keep up with that boy. so please help me out. I have 2008 Honda Accord 4 door. I want to save the smallest amount of space in the trunk so I could at least put my golf clubs in there. I HAD 2 12"Infinity Perfect's ported in a 3.4 33hz enclosure with a PPI PCX2200 feeding them 800 watts. Although I think the woofers were starting to deteriate(sp?) for awhile and were not hitting as hard. And my amp is 2 channel which is a current hog and has no subsonic filter. So I want to upgrade both and I want my new setup to blow away this one. PLease help with that??? My budget is around $1500-$2000 for subs and sub amp. I was thinking going JL just because of the quality and sound, but the price tag on that gear is steep. And I know there are many Jl haters on this board which I can understand. But either way please offer some recommends on quality gear that would give me some amazing SQL(if there is such a thing ) THANKS!!!

I would do 4 of the new SI mags off a nice sized amp. Not sure how big AQ amps go up too, but could do two of them, one amp for each set of subs. Would be killer!

Looking at 250 each for the SI Mags, so 1000 in subs, then the AQ amps I believe the over 2k amp is like 350 IIRC, so looking at 700 for that, then you want to make sure your electrical is up to par, so an HO alty, you would be at your 2000 smacks limit, give or take.

Would be my system if I had the funds.................I actually have the funds, but wifey would divorce my ***, lol!

You already have the hd 600/4, might as well get the hd 750/1 to match. Someone has a set of 10" Oz Audio me10's in the classifieds section. So sad how Oz never got the attention they deserved but that would be the way to go if you're trying to save on space.
