get over it. the law is never going to change. just something u gotta deal with and take in stride. i hate the law myself cuz i like blasting mine which i do anyways but im willing to take the chance cuz ive spent well over 10 grand on stereo stuff so a little fine to me wont mean as much as knowing the shits loud!

well if you live in sarasota fla and you play your system too loud, the cops can on the first time impound your car. the city govement passed the law yesterday. this all came about because the mayor of sarasota pulled up to a light and the car next to her had ther windows down and was playing rap music(which she didnt like) so she turned her music up(classical). well the other guy, like and idiot, went instantly to the "blsast the town mode" and it pissed her off so she came up with this law that got passed yesterday. i can understand getting a citation for playing your system too loud but having the possibility of having your car impounded on the first time is, imo, just too much. what about all the loud harlies, coffie can muffler imports and mussle cars you can here a mile away? why just pick on the music crowd because i here cars and bikes that are louder than any audio system on the street. now dont get me wrong, i have a very loud 380 hp bronco(exhaust and music wise) it just seems un fair to me to single out one type of "noise" problem.

my friend who has a bike had a good point about the loud cars, and motorcycles...The cops don't care if they are loud, because it makes them easier to catch, or spot... If a cop hears a bike tearin around town...its not going to be to easy for that guy to get away... So on the saftey factor...it makes sence.

It won't stand up in court. First person to actually get their car impounded and challenge it in court will get the law thrown out unless there is a quantifiable threshold that leads to ticketing and impoundments. You also have to look at the enforcement side of things. Lot of paperwork involved in an impound. Lots of lazy cops that don't want to do said paperwork...
