While he called West a talented producer, he also said the Chicago MC is a "worker bee" while he's a "boss." 50 emphasized the importance of album sales, saying that West selling more would mean that "he did a better job than me on his album."

"Look at how you're talking to me, like Kanye West is my equal right now," 50 said, launching into a rather imprecise comparison. "That's like me putting myself against Michael Jackson's [album-release] date and then acting like, 'Woah, it's a battle between 50 Cent and Michael Jackson!', when Thriller sold 30 million records and 50 Cent's biggest album sold 12 [million], you feel what I'm saying?

"Don't get lost in the hype," he continued. "I got the right records, so we're gonna sit here and I'll see you next time. Maybe next time they can send me off to the pastures. But right now, I'm gonna stick around and sell this record — and I will be #1 on September 11."

i used to love 50s shit so much, power of the dollar is one of the best gangstr rap cds ever. all downhill from there. get rich was good , but not as good, massacre was just ok. this curtis cd is no good.

Like some here, I've had both albums for a couple weeks now. Finally got my hands on lossless versions last week and after that much time listening to both, I like Kanye's more. BUT, I don't really like either of them much at all. Lyrically they're both garbage (especially 50's), so it comes down to the beats; which I feel Kanye has the upper hand on. His song "Good Life" samples "PYT" (Michael Jackson song) and the first time I heard it I was floored. It's the best song on the album to me.

Lately it seems all new music sucks. TI, and Fabolous' CDs both were crap.

I expected Chamillionaire's to be pretty good, but so far there's only about 2 songs that have my attention: "Rock Star" w/Lil Wayne and "Hip Hop Police" w/Slick Rick. Other than that, it's just not that good.

I hope to god that Lil Wayne's album is all it's cracked up to be when/if it comes out this year. I heard yesterday that Nas is releasing a new one this year so that might be interesting.

Oh, to the original question: I have no idea. To me, it's a toss up.

If it doesnt outsell Kanye's album it's his fault. He pushed it back for this reason. But i give both credit though. Every Kanye album has been leaked and he has to change the songs around. Like i already heard Homecoming when college dropout was out. the version i hears had John legend on it and the beat was better.

LAS VEGAS -- Sour grapes from Kanye West — again. Shut out at the Video Music Awards, Kanye West threw a tantrum Sunday night in front of media and crew backstage as the MTV show was ending.

West, waiting for an elevator in a crowded hallway, began yelling about losing all five categories for which he was nominated.

"That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance," West said, stomping around his entourage and directing his comments at a reporter. "I'm trying hard man, I have the ... number one record, man."

West said he never will return to MTV.

The rapper was nominated for five awards, including male artist of the year. This is the latest in a series of awards show outbursts for West. Last year, he crashed the stage at the MTV Europe Awards after not winning for best video.

I think their both very overrated, and stuck up because their in the big times now. Just because you make music, doesnt make you an artist in my opinion.

I think Kanye has the upper hand in this category, because sometimes his beats are very emotional, but i lose respect for him once he opens his mouth.

Like everything, to him its about race. It frustrates me when people want to stop racism, but ppl like him do nothing but bring it up constantly, that the reason he didnt win was cuz he was black.

50 on the other hand, he had some songs b4 the massacre i liked. I think THe Massacre killed my opionion on his music. I mean he has some nice beats too, but nothing he says is a revelation of any sort.

Generally they both end up hurting the genre than help it. WHich is why we shouldnt be discussing them in the first place.

Kind of sad today is 9/11 and ppl seem to care about which rich rapper makes more money off us today by selling us trash.

I wasn't trying to get deep in the meaning of 9/11, just who ppl thought would sell more.

So if everyone is hating on both, then why do they both outsell so many artist???

i like how it's 9/11 and i've heard more about 50, kanye, britney spears and the emmy's than the twin towers and terrorism*not a news flash* this country has it's priorities out of wack...but i guess its ok in a few ways, like im tired of hearing how bad the war is and how horrible the president is, cant wait until all that is put to bed...
