this will be a rant. get ready.

So ive noticed alot of families have to cut back on spending due to the economy.

Well i have also noticed alot of their cuts are made to the kids. not parents.

Buddy of mine has both parents. They cut back on clothes even tho they only buy once a year only once a year.

Cut back a 10$ internet bill. Took his prepaid Phone etc. But yet his parents drive a ford excursion,

smoke 1 pack of newports a day each. still have their smart phones. Make nonsense trips to waste gas. and very many others.

so why are the parents so selfish? at least when i need to make a cut my parents make one with me. ive noticed this all around the country when someone is asked what they cut back its something of their childs.

discuss even tho its a bad thrown together rant

Kids need to start makin' their own money and stop being broke cunts
i can agree but he is 13 . and most kids are under 17 that have cuts. at least i try to carry myself

Kids don't need phones. If they want phones, get a job. Also don't need high speed internet. Other than that I somewhat agree with you.
it wasnt high speed . it was 10$ a month internet for school studies.(he is homeschooled) and a prepaid phone isnt a 100$ phone.

I agree, but they seriously need to quit smoking. Or cut back like I did.

I went from a CARTON a week to a pack a month. I have so much money now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

I am guessing since the kid is not working and paying for his own phone, clothes, internet??

I mean it may be selfish but the parents are paying for everything so.......

If the kid has a job, well then he should pay for his own phone, clothes. ect.....

Just IMO.

let me rephrase. spring clothes. because erryone roun here goes to wally world fo clothes when school starts cause it cheap

Ok, Why does a home schooled kid need a phone, or internet for that matter. Does he have to call his parents to tell them he'll be home late from school? Is he being given things to study that cant be found at a library?

ill add that the kid is 13 and needs most of the listed. i know him personally. Great kid. but his parents are selfish dicwads
Yeah, 13 is a bit young. I started my first "job" when I was 14. It was digging pools with a pickaxe and shooting Shot-Crete. I got payed $5/hr for it and it was a nine hour day.

Looking back, I wouldn't of done it any different. It's different if they want to be fiscally responsible, but cutting back on just the kids amenities is kind of a dick move.
