So firstly this is my setup
2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Coupe
Head Unit - Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD
Door Speakers - Pioneer TS-A1674R A-Series 6 1/2" 3-Way 300 Watts
Rear Speakers - Pioneer TS-A6964R A-Series 6"x9" 3-Way 400 Watts
Sub setup - 39305_1000W Rockford Fosgate Crossfire Complete Bass Bundle from sonicelectronix
I have everything setup and it sounds great at really low volumes or parts with no bass. Once bass kicks in it last for a few seconds and then all the sound gets a lot quieter and has a really distorted sound to it.
This was doing this with just the head unit and sub setup before I put in the new speakers.
I did some research and thought it may be caused by clipping from the gain levels so I turned everything (bass boost, gain, frequency) all the way down and still does it.
If I change my high pass filter to 125hz I can go to higher levels without it occurring but then I get little to no bass.
Any suggestions would help.
