Issues installing a stereo in my 2006 Chevy cobalt

We wired in an interface and the stereo doesn't turn on so we tried to bypass the acc wire from the stereo straight to the factory acc wire on the cars wiring harness and it turns on but when you shut the car off the stereo stays on.... this is getting frustrating!

Most likely you tapped into a constant rather than power accessory. You need to put a multi meter and turn the car on to see whats a remote turn on and whats a constant
