Yes Sir, It will be a good match for the type R's. The amp does 1200 watts all day long at 2 ohms.

Yes, Dual 2 ohms would be o.k. Just make sure you series wire each sub and then parrallel them at the amp for a final load of 2 ohms. Amp should do 1200rms no problem A friend of mine is running that amp in his pathfinder and he is seeing about 1300 rms just before clipping. We used a scope and a rms clamp by fluke to get his actual wattage.
