If your sub is dual 2ohm...then yes.
Yes. The 1 ohm load you have on your amp now is too hard on it.Ok but the way i have it wired the amp is getting wayy to hot and my sub is turning off at certain points of volume. Will it work better if i wire like that
Correct i have Sub number 1 casue thats the 2 ohm and yes that be my amp. So i guess I'll have to rewire. Thanks a lot for your helpIf your sub is dual 2ohm...then yes.
Since you didn't give us the model number....and I was bored....I went to the Quantum site. They offer that sub with dual 4ohm and also with dual 2ohm.
Which of these two are the model number of the sub?
1.QCSW12D2
2.QCSW12D4
If it's #1, then you want to wire it like this.

If it's #2, then you are kinda screwed. Because I am guessing this it the amp that you have - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882105249
And if you try to run that amp at anything less than 4ohm mono, it will do just what it's doing now.
